LG Voyager can't make or accept calls

Hi.. recently transferred my number and contacts to this older basic phone I bought because my other one broke.

Now I can't make or receive calls but I can text without problem.

When I try to make a call, the Verizon logo shows up when I hit send and looks like it restarts the phone.

Is there a delay in calling features on a transferred number?

Or, is there a problem here?

Is the old phone turned off and battery removed if possible?
