How to send text message to email?

I have an LG Cosmos 2 and can't send a received text message to my email for printing. I've seen other discussions about this, but don't understand the acronyms.  What is an EMS capable handset?

forward, share, email....type in email address if it's not in contacts

Don't have that phone but on my phone I just start a text message and put my email address in the to field and send. What happens when you do that doesn't show up? Did you check your spam folder for it? Mary

it could be but shouldn't be in spam folder.

Well sometimes good mail ends up in spam.  I get a few newsletters that if I dont t have them in My address book they go to spam instead of the inbox.  Try s different email address to.  I send a lot of stuff to email through text and it works good.  Mary

me too, i'm able to send text, pic text to my pop3, gmail & yahoo email without any issues.

I tried to reply to bearone21 but can't log into Wireless Community again.

It keeps saying my screen name and email are already in use. I had used

jtmax and <Edited for privacy.>.  Anyway my question was how to send a

received text to my email, not one I type myself.

any answers?

when you login you get 2 choices/drop-down menu, myverizon or your community name, you probably logged into myverizon.

like i said earlier, long push on the email/forward/email/contact/send.
