Added Phone

I have a Samsung Brightside and recently added a smart phone to my plan. I changed numbers so that people could still reach me on my new phone and was given a new phone number for the Brightside. My smart phone's number works and I am able to send and receive calls/ texts but my Brightside doesn't do either. It just gives me a busy signal whenever I try to make a call and tells me that messages fail to send. How can I make it so I can call and send texts to others on the Brightside?

After switching the phones and numbers around were you able to re-program the Brightside with its new number successfully? You can attempt this by dialing *228 and following the prompts to program it. I would suggest powering off your other phone before doing this, and then once it's done turning it right back on to avoid any system conflicts with swapping devices.
