how to use a sim card in my samsung note 5

I am getting a replacement note 5 phone for my lost note 5. It states it will ship with a sim card, I did not know my note 5 had a sim card and I do not know how to use a sim card that is shipping with my new phone. Please explaing to me what a sim card is and how i will use it with the new note 5 phone I am getting.
