Why do I have to pay fees for recalled Note 7?

Samsung/Verizon what about us customers who have purchased two Note 7 and can't afford the fees to get a new phone. I know we get our money credited to our accounts after they are returned but I need it back in my bank account. I'm on fixed income and don't have the money to spend on phone fees because I have to return a phone. A phone I saved to get and love and need. So what I'm I to do because I have no choice but to keep my phones.

I have asked the same question, I dont wantthe money credited to my bill I am on a family plan and everyone pays their on bill I want my cash refunded to me the same way it was received. I find it absolutely crazy that I have to come out of pocket for something that is not my fault. And after being told yesterday to go to a corp store I drove 45 min to get there for them to look at me like I am stupid and tell me there is nothing they can do for me, they would not even give me a chance to ask questions are anything. That is bad business and being a customer of Verizon's for over 10+ years I find it very disrespectful to walk into y'alls store to be turned right back around. News flash Verizon other company's work just as well as y'all and the service i got yesterday i will be going to another buisness today and see what my options are. This is so outrageous to me.

From what i was told you dont receive credit until you get the few "down grade" and send in the note, once they receive the note you will be credited to you card the same way you paid. (Which I dont understand why they cant just  refund it all at the same time)

They have an update about the credit. If you read the reply from Verizon there's a link on there. It's about what credit you can get right away to help get a new phone. You still have to wait for your refund/credit for the Note 7.

it is not our intention to disrespect our customer base by turning you back around. We certainly do not want you to leave either.  We have never had to deal with a national recall on this level ever before. We are working very hard to provide our customers with the best option for them.

All Verizon customers with Note7 devices are advised to upgrade to a different smartphone. The preferred method for upgrading is to use My Verizon. If you prefer to return it at the store, we recommend returning it to the original store where it was purchased and at that time you will be refunded for taxes, down payments & the original upgrade fee. How did you originally purchase your phone?

Corporate stores don't take these phones even if corporate tells them to...why ...safety issues for their employees.

Vzw needs to stop telling customers to go to stores. We get there with all of our items and told to leave. One store would do the upgrade but NOT take note7.

Until ALL corporate stores will take phones please stop wasting our time. I did my exchange online and now wait for the phones to be delivered Monday storing the note7 somewhere safe until there are proper boxes for returning.
