Plus sign above some of the icons in the S8 icon drawer

I'm very new to smart phones and in particular the S8.  I cannot find anything that tells me the meaning of the plus sign that appears slightly above and to the right of some of the icons in the icon drawer.  What does it indicate?  Thanks for any help.

What apps are you seeing the plus sign on? Can you provide a screen shot of what you are seeing? To take a screenshot on the Galaxy S8, press the power and volume-down buttons at the same time.
