Hi,
I am having problems with my Note 5 where it continuously says "Connected to Dock" even though it is not. This result in constant vibrating, speaker phone turning off and on during calls, messaging app to crash, and even problems with wireless charging.
I do have a small superficial crack on the back on the device, which I have since covered up with a case. If I had this crack only, and didn't see many comments online like in the example links below I would state the the crack is cause for the problems and I would own up to filing an insurance claim. I did try to contact Verizon but Verizon is unwilling to help me because there is a crack and that I would have to file an insurance claim. While having the small crack on the back of the case is my own fault, this hardware issue appears would have happened regardless.
I would greatly appreciate if Verizon could help make this issue right by helping me replace my phone without myself having to file for a $150 insurance deductible on a phone I just purchased less than 2 months ago.
Thanks,
Andrew
This had actually been happening to me on my Note 4! This is what I did and it worked, not sure if it will be the same but I figured it's worth a shot.
Go to Settings - accessories - uncheck dock notification
Hopefully this helps a bit!
Excellent idea. I can't find that setting on the Note 5, but will poke around and post an update with any results.
thank you!
