Birthday still shows up

I deleted a phone number from my phone some time ago. With it, I saved a couple birthdays. But even with the contact not in my phone or anywhere else as far as I see, the birthdays show up in Calender under phone contacts. How do I get the birthdays to stop showing up?

I know that I too would find this occurrence just as odd too, NATLAWS. We are here to help out. Regarding the remaining the birthday details, are these appearing through Google calendar? If you remove the entry from the calendar itself, do the birthdays reappear?
