So this is an interesting issue. I have a corporate email account set up on my phone that decided to stop syncing yesterday... when I go to look at the corporate account under "Accounts" it shows that "sync is OFF", however when I go into the account settings for the corporate account both "Sync email" and "Sync calendar" are checked. I had the same issue with my Hotmail account a little while back and had to remove and re-add it. In today's business world we need to be able to respond to issues on the go. This is supposed to be a "Smartphone," I should not have to remove and re-add an account that I already set up just to get it to sync again, it is a huge inconvenience.
This seems to be a recurring issue on this phone model. I have read several other discussions about this issue, on Verizon and other forums, on these phones.

Kxmiller, I agree that email is a vital tool for today's business world. If you uncheck and re-check Sync email and calendar, does it attempt to sync again? Do you get any errors? Has this happened more than once with this email account?

My phone will not sync to my gmail calendar or email. I called in recently and the trouble shooter just gave up and sent me a new phone. The new phone does not work either. This is very frustrating! What is being done to fix this or do I need a different phone?

How exactly is it not syncing? From Gmail to the phone or from the phone to Gmail or both?

From the phone to gmail. I have not tried to go from gmail to the
phone--don't know how.

We can figure this issue our charlihawk. Are you receiving any error messages in the sync settings? For Calendar, when adding new appointments, are you selecting Gmail as the calendar? Try logging into Gmail on your computer and adding an appointment there. Sync on the phone again to see if it comes thru. Try also sending yourself an email from both the phone and the website. Let me know your results.

Yes I occasionally see a red button and error saying that google sync is
not working and will return soon. I sent an email from my phone 30 minutes
ago and it is still trying to send. I sent one from my email and it sent
and rec'd immediately. My calendar will not sync at all--either direction.
browser last synced 8/13
calendar last synced 8/15
contacts last synced 8/14
gmail last synced 8.26
The only thing synced 9/5 is app data

Ok since I started screwing around with this, I have lost all changes to my
calendar in the past month!!! And my phone still says it has not synced the
calendar. I hope we can restore my calendar to noon on 9/5/13! I did
nothing to the phone that should have caused this. I tried calling but
apparently everyone has a problem tonight...
I cannot trouble shoot at night because where I live, I have no phone
service anymore. I will attempt to contact you tomorrow.

Are you selecting the Gmail account as the calendar to save the event into?
You can sign into your Gmail account from a computer and go to the calendar link there.

Yes I have the gmail calendar selected and I know I can use the calendar
under gmail from a computer--but nothing i put in there shows up on my
phone. And now all the stuff I have been entering on my phone, because that
is where I need the calendar, has disappeared.
