why is canceling a online preorder holding me up purchasing a iphone in store?

FYI to people that are lucky enough to find  a phone in store but edged up for the preorder.

If you try to cancel the preorder in store it will take 72 hours before you can purchase a phone again.  Really ruins your day to have the phone in hand and then have to give it to someone else because of something that dumb.

so what happened? did you get the preorder ahead of ship by date?

This whole pre-order is getting old for all of us. Get a move on Verizon and fill our pre-orders before you fill newer orders!!!
