Hello, I left America for Germany about one month ago with an iphone 4s. I was silly and did not unlock it myself before I left.
My brother has been in contact with Verizon and has asked them to unlock this phone twice. Neither time has he received a confirmation email and neither time did the "unlock" work.
I cannot get the "Live chat" feature to work on the support site, so I am incredibly frustrated.
I have an O2 sim here that I want to use with the phone. Plugging it into Itunes does not help.
How can I make sure that Verizon unlocks my phone? Will the phone still only accept certain Sim cards once unlocked? I am planning on returning to America in a year or so but with all this trouble I might just switch plans.
