how can I view the content of my chid's text messages

I'm wondering if there is a way to view the content of my child's text messages without having to confiscate the phone?  I think she is deleting them before I can get to the phone anyway.

Verizon Messages lets you do so. For instances I downloaded Verizon Messages on my iPhone at some point.. although I'm no longer using it I had set it up and I can go to vtext.com and login with My Verizon credentials. The texts appear there for me to view. With an iPhone though she would have to have iMessage turned off. If she is messaging with other iOS (iPhone) users they will not appear in this section since they are not going out via a standard SMS text.

Tell her to try Verizon Messages since your not using it on your phone.. to see how she likes it.. and go from there. LOL. Good luck.

Although I should mention.. I hadn't checked on vtext.com and viewed my Verizon Messages in a long time. I just did it while responding to your post and afterwards I received an SMS saying that "Your Verizon Messages account was recently accessed from a new browser or device...." so that would not work for you as she would then get a text like this.

Bd94s10 I certainly understand wanting to make sure your child is being safe when using text messages. I would love to say yes but at this time we have reviewed the available options. At some point they will now that you are viewing the text. Trust me I have 2 sons, I understand it does present a challenge.

As I have asked this same question cause I get that same message while accessing my own account why is this message being sent it was never before? I don't need to know I've accessed my own account

I think it is simply due to security. Making sure it was you that accessed the account. There seems to be a heightened awareness about people accessing other people's account. I'm not sure if it can be turned off.
