I'm new to Verizon - for the first few days I got LTE coverage reliably, but for the last couple of weeks it's been 3G or actually now mostly 1x. It's not only frustrating, it's also draining my battery and making my phone run incredibly hot. I'm in a fully-covered LTE area (94612) and have reset the network settings, re-seated the SIM card, and restarted the phone dozens of times. What else can I do?
Hello Aaron143! I appreciate all the troubleshooting you've already done trying to get your device to work! Let's see if we can pinpoint the issue. You mentioned that it worked well for the first few days. Are you using the phone in different locations than you did before? Do you find that you have issues in some places, and not others, or is it everywhere you go?
Thanks,

Hi Michelle,
I didn't do a whole lot of traveling in those first few days, but I
definitely remember having LTE in a particular grocery store where I now
can only get 1x.

Aaron143,
Thanks for the reply! Are you getting an LTE connection in other areas? If you go to Settings>Cellular>LTE, is the LTE feature enabled? How many bars of service do you normally have on your device?

Hi - Yes, LTE is enabled (as is data roaming, though that shouldn't make a
difference.) and it seemed like I had LTE for a few minutes on a bus ride
yesterday, but it quickly reverted to 3G, then to 1x.

Thanks for the additional information Aaron143 as this will help with determining the steps to get your 4G back up and running. What software version do you currently have available on your iPhone 5s at this time? Are you having any issues with dropped calls or anything?

iOS 8.1.2 is running, and no - no issues with calls, but texts sometimes won't send.
Thanks so much for providing that additional information. Let's try to reset the network settings http://vz.to/1ovdCBD to see if that helps any.

Did it twice - once yesterday and once today, with no luck
