Personal hotspot connection dropping yet I still have an LTE connection

Whenever I use my phone as a hotspot for my pc, my internet on both my pc and iPhone 5 will randomly cease to work.I still have bars yet the only way to get the data working again is to reset the phones data connection. When I first encountered this problem I hard reset my phone, but I've discovered cycling the phone into airplane mode and reconnecting the hotspot via usb achieves the same results. I've tried factory reset, resetting the network setting, and several other approaches with no long term fix. This doesn't happen when I'm using data directly on my phone with no hotspot active. It even happened as I was typing this. Any advice?

Let's get your hotspot data taken care of. Have you always had this problem with your hotspot? How long have you had the iPhone 5? Have you used hotspot with another device, other than your PC?
