Outlook Synch
MarkBznMT
Newbie

We have recently switched from Blackberry to IPhone. We have been trying for several weeks and countless hours on the phone with this support and that one, setting up portals and new domains to try and synch our IPhones with the Outlook Calendar on our computers without success. We also need to be able to invite attendees to events that we create on our phone calendar. I find it hard to believe that with the 30,000 or so geniuses that Apple employs that they haven't come up with a way to synch these two very popular systems that just works out of the box. Does anyone have a simple solution?

MarkBZnMT, thank you for your inquiry. The iPhone does support syncing with Outlook in a few different ways. First, are you using a Microsoft Exchange Server? If so, are you receiving any specific errors when trying to set it up? Here are the steps for setting up Exchange on an iPhone. http://bit.ly/J9ywxF This allows you to sync your contacts, calendars and email folders wirelessly with Outlook.

If you do not have an Exchange server at work, and are trying to manually sync contacts and calendar, you can sync your iPhone with iTunes to transfer data from Outlook to your phone. Just connect your phone, right click your iPhone name in iTunes, choose Info, then set Outlook as the default sync for Contacts and Calendar.

If you need more assistance or are receiving specific errors when trying to sync with Outlook. Please let me know.
