Why can't I receive pics from a smartphone or send pics to a smartphone? My old phone was a smartphone and I did not have any problems receiving or sending pics on it - I have my same number and plan so why is it not working on the iphone?
I have the same problem.
I could send and receive picture messages and video messages with my dumb phone. For iPhone 4S, I have to turn on Cellular Data or in WiFi region to send any picture and video message.

Sharing your lives most precious moments via picture messaging is really fun and I don't want you to miss out! You are absolutely correct that your current smartphone should also be able to send and receive picture messages.
When you try to send a picture message, what happens exactly? Is your data turned on? Are you in Wifi?
Please advise so we can fix this together!
