I updated my iPhone yesterday, and it worked fine afterwards - but around 9AM this morning it lost signal. It is almost 3PM and my handset is still "Searching" for a signal. Is there an outage, or did the update mess up my phone?

There might be an outage in your area. You could contact VZW (or if you know any other VZW iPhone users in your area check to see if they are also having signal issues). If you haven't tried it already you can try restarting your device to see if that helps...or doing *228 option 2.

Turns out there was an outage that affected several Verizon customers, but not all of us in the area. Truth is stranger than fiction.
