My voicemails are very often late.  These voicemails are important and usually urgent.  It seems that Verizon funnels the voicemails to try and force customers to sign up for visual voicemail and your notification of normal voicemail messages are delayed for hours or days.  I don't want visual voicemail.  How do I stop promotions and notifications for a service I don't want?

You should be able to turn off Visual Voicemail from your My Verizon app.
