My friend got a 5c, and something happened with it and she got a new one sent to her. She says that I can't use it as a cell phone on my contract becasue it is on her contract even though she got sent a new one. Would I be able to put on number on it since she is using a new one?

If the initial phone she received was replaced by Verizon due to a problem with the phone, she needs to send that phone back or she will likely be charged full retail price for it.
Attempting to use it would constitute fraud.
