My Tab S 10.5 hasn't been updated since February 2016. when I check for updates get a response "Software update is temporarily unavailable. Try again later." I check for updates about once a month, and have gotten that same message every time.
Is Android 5.0.2 the latest version available for my SM-T807V?
My note 5 is up to Android 7.0.

My friend has this tablet. The latest version I believe is MMB29M.T818VVRS1AQC1. You can try to update it via the Software Upgrade Assistant. Make sure you have an active sim in the tablet. I've seen tablets not take an update if there is no active sim in the device. Also, keep in mind the tablets will not always have the same software as the smartphones.

I would guess the device doesn't have an updates available and it isn't scheduled for anymore.

I really appreciate your persistence trying to get your tablet updated, RONSTE43. I’m confident we can figure out what’s causing the trouble getting the update. The Tab S 1.05 was last updated January of 2017 to MMB29M.T807VVRS1CPL1, which is Android 6.0 (Marshmallow). The suggestions from bd94s10 were excellent. Do you have an active SIM in your tablet? Is the tablet able to successfully browse the internet using cellular services? Samsung’s Software Update Assistant at https://www.verizonwireless.com/support/knowledge-base-80200/ can also be extremely helpful for stubborn updates.
