verizon cloud backup

How do I schedule a automatic backup to the online verizon cloud?  When I edit contacts on my iphone I have to sign on the verizon website and do a manual sync on the cloud page for the contact to be changed.

I failed to mention when I first posted this question, that after I edit a contact on my phone, I do a manual backup on the verizon cloud app on my iphone.  I can not find any directions on where to schedule a automatic backup so that my contacts are all in sync (my contacts on my phone, my verizon cloud app, and the online cloud on the website)

What phone do you have?  Smartphone?  Basic phone?

You should be able to go to the app on the phone (where it is will depend on the phone you have) and set the backup schedule on the phone itself.

I have a iphone 5S. I have the cloud app on the phone. I just looked

at the app and I don't see anywhere to actually schedule the backup for

a specific time. I can only see that I can touch the bar that says

backup now and it will run. Thanks

First of all the link that was provided that was supposed to solve my

problem doesn't even work, when I click on it all I get is a page that

says "an unexpected error has occurred"

Second, I have already been to that support page and I did not find the

answer I need.

Let me reiterate what my problem is, maybe I wasn't clear before.

Step 1. I edit an existing contact on my iphone 5s.

Step 2. I run a manual backup on the verizon cloud app on my phone.

that corrects the contact stored in the app

Step 3. I sign on to the verizon cloud on my laptop to check and see if

the contact stored there has been corrected, and find that it has not.

Step 4. I wait overnight to see if an automatic back up or sync will

occur that will "fix" the contact in the cloud on my laptop. It still

is not fixed.

Step 5. I do a manual sync on the cloud on my laptop. It does not

instantly "fix" the contact, but when I sign off and then sign back on

to the cloud I can see that the contact has been fixed.

So, my questions are, do i always have to manually sync the cloud on my

laptop to update the contacts stored there? Is there a way to set up

automatic back ups not only on the app on my phone, but also on my laptop.

Please don't just write back telling me to go to the FAQ's or an online

support page that supposedly has the answer. I have spent hours online

on the verizon website trying to figure this out, I have sent a question

numerous times to the online chat, only to never, and I mean never, have

a technician or representative, even acknowledge that I sent a

question. I have left the chat open for over an hour and never got a

response at all.

If possible please just write back with the steps to set up automatic

backups. If you can't do that please say so.

gmamasue-

We definitely want to make things easier for you so I apologize the link provided did not work. With the iPhone, the Verizon Cloud app does not provide a frequency option to back up or an automatic option like on Android devices. For the iPhone, you can only choose a back up option either via WIFI only or WIFI + Mobile Network. You would need to do a manual backup by clicking on Backup Now from the main Menu. To make sure your updated contact backs up into our server, please go into the Cloud menu from your phone, then go into Settings>What to Back Up>make sure contacts are enabled. Then go back to the main Menu and select Back up Now. For an automatic back up including a back up frequency option, the iCloud provided by Apple would work best. I trust this information will help.
