I was wanting to use my Droid 2 global for grandkids with just wifi. Did a factory reset. Got past activation screen but when i login to google account it says it cant connect to the server. Wifi works on my tablet, laptop and and other phone. I've tried several things. Nothing works so far. So frustrating. Any ideas?
It might be so old that it can't connect to the Google Play Services to access the account.

As a parent myself, I now how convenient having a WIFI capable device for kids can be. Are you able to connect to your WIFI network from this phone without any issues? Besides the Google log in not going through, are you able to browse the internet?
