Can The Nofication And Ring Volume Be Controlled Separately?

Since the recent update the ring and notification volume show separate but move together. So either the notification setting is REALLY LOUD or I don't hear the phone ring. Is there a way to make them work independently again?

It's the way Google designed it for Marshmallow.
