Why Won't My Moto Z Force Droid Power On?

I just bought the Moto Z Force Droid and have had it Since Sept. 3rd 2016.  Yesterday morning around 6:00am I was using the phone and noticed it only had about 20% battery remaining.  So I plugged it in (using the wall charger that came with the phone), and a little over an hour later I took it off the charger and headed home from working my overnight shift.  I got into my car and tried to bring up the display...  it wouldn't respond and looked like it was powered down.  I held the power button down like normal to power it on but nothing.   So in short... The phone will not power on at all.   I have already gone through the Verizon Troubleshooting Assistant with no luck.   I plan on stopping into my local Verizon Wireless store to see what my options are...  and of course it's already past the 14 day in-store return policy...

Has anyone else had this issue and/or any ideas on what else to try to get it to power on??

I know you said you used the Verizon Troubleshooting Assistant but I am not sure if you have already completed the following steps. If you have, please disregard my steps and proceed to the store. First off, review these pictures and ensure you are inserting the charger fully into the device.

These are examples of the charger not fully inserted (device may show empty charge icon but still not charge device.)

Picture 2: https://motorola-global-portal.custhelp.com/euf/assets/images/faqs/Mods/z-turbo-1.png

These are examples of a fully inserted charger (device shows charge icon with TurboPower Charge % and charges properly)

Picture 2: https://motorola-global-portal.custhelp.com/euf/assets/images/faqs/Mods/z-turbo-2.png

If you have done this correctly then please proceed.

1. Hold the POWER button for upwards of 30-45 seconds straight.

If the device shows no sign of life (LED, screen turning on, vibration, etc) then...

2. While continuing to hold volume down, press and release the Power
button
but continue to hold volume down until the boot mode screen

appears.

3. From the Bootloader selection screen (image of an Android with Start), select

RECOVERY MODE. (Utilize the volume buttons to cycle through the available options and

the power button to select)

4. From the Android system recovery screen (image of an Android with an exclamation

mark), do the following to display the menu options: Ensure the steps below are performed in a timely manner. If power is held too long (longer than 5 seconds), the device resets.

5. Press and hold the Power Button

6. While continuing to hold the power button, press the Volume Up
button
then release all buttons.
