So when i shut off my phone, it requires a password when you turn it back on before the fingerprint . i changed the password about a month ago and it must have been something that didn't get typed in right so i have the wrong password. how do i fix this?

We know how hard it is to keep track of passwords & pins. There are so many of them now a days. Samsung really upped their security on the newer devices. If you do not remember the password/pin set up, you may first try the Android Device Manager: http://bit.ly/1DN7cRs You do need to know your Gmail account & password to get logged in. If you are unable to reset/unlock anything there, your only option then to get back into the phone is by doing a factory reset: http://vz.to/2ceLW55
