VerizonWireless.com. My iPhone 6 drops the wifi over and over.  I like to play games on it and it will drop wifi without my knowledge and therefore start using my data. This is probably the 3rd iphone that has done this.  I have a kindle fire that never drops the wifi so it's not the router.  If I didn't owe so much on this phone I would dump it. I certainly wouldn't recommend one to anyone.

Take it to an Apple store and have them look at it.

Would you rather pay the phone off monthly and have the issue or pay it off and get something else? You will still be paying the phone off either way.

As suggested, if you are still under warranty go to your local Apple Store (if you have one...otherwise contact Apple support to initiate a warranty claim) and have them check it out. Do you have the latest iOS? How long has this issue been going on? I have an iPhone 6s Plus but haven't had the issues you are describing on mine or any of the other iPhones in my home so I don't think it's a problem that every iPhone experiences. Some have said they started having issues after updating to iOS 9.3.2 so that may be your issue.

It’s important to me that your iPhone 6 is functioning as expected. I’d love to assist.

One feature on the device that may allow it to switch between WiFi and cellular data connections is the Wi-Fi Assist feature http://vz.to/1Og9xtB. Is this feature enabled on your device? Wi-Fi Assist enables the device to automatically switch to cellular data when Wi-Fi coverage is poor. The device switches back to Wi-Fi when the Wi-Fi signal improves. Please keep us posted.

IS wifi assist on?   Wifi assist is an Apple feature in setting, under mobile data that allows your phone to switch to cellular if the wifi is unstable.

THis is a problem with Apple.  I recently stayed in a hotel with great wifi.  My android phone stayed connected as long as I was in the hotel, but my iPad disconnected every time the screen shut off.  Each time I woke it is reverted to cellular.

Turning off wifi assist helps some.

Your home wifi may need some tending.  Sometimes resetting or shutting down once a week can help.  Or your modem and router may be old and failing.

As mentioned, Wi-Fi Assist for one. But second, definitely get your Wi-Fi checked by someone in the know, and get a firmware upgrade installed to the router. Make sure the wireless encryption is WPA2-PSK AES. You'd be surprised at how often firmware issues in routers can cause specific devices to work fine, but others to misbehave.

It's very unlikely that this is a hardware problem with your phone, if you've gone through three iPhones already.

Why do you keep buying the same phone? There are other options that don't have this problem & cost less.
