Verizon Switch promotion problems

I switched from Sprint to Verizon based on the $650.00 promotion for switching in March 2016. I filed the rebate paperwork requesting reimbursement based on their promotion. I provided my last phone bill in addition to what I thought was a trade in receipt. My claim was denied for invalid submission- more specifically, I was not submitting the correct Trade in Receipt. I searched my Document and receipts folder and it wasn't in there. I contacted the Switch department and directly, while standing inside Verizon store where I purchased the phone. I even put the employee at the Verizon store on the phone with the Switch department to explain the situation. Apparently there are some issues with the processing of the Trade in and no receipt was completed. Now Verizon won't reimburse me for the promotion up to $650.00. How I am suppose to know how to do their job ensuring I get all the paperwork? I don't do that kind of work but I lost out on up to $650.00 for four different trades in. The deadlines has passed for submission. I am so frustrated with Verizon!!! While at the Verizon store, there was another consumer in there with the same issue? I am wondering if anyone else has had this problem?

yes. I have spoken with two representatives, Jackie and Katy, and the supervisor named Alfredo. the directed me to call the trade in department. I contacted them and spoke with Dwayne who told me to go back to the store aND raise my voice at the represenatives. he told me that because there is no submission Number.. I am still liable for those phones that I traded in. I will ho back to the store again this week.

There is a lack of understanding what is really offered with the $650 switch deal.

AS it reads, the offer is UP TO $650.  No one actually gets $650, because most people don't owe their former carrier that much.

THis is how it goes:

THe first part is a credit for your phones turned in.  I don't know what you got for them, but for example, let's say you got $200 In immediate credits each.  ($800 total)

THen in you submit your final bill with your ETF or lease balances.  The lease balance is $200 on 2 phones and your ETF on the other 2 is $300 each, total $1,000, less the $800 you got for your phones, so the reimbursement would be another $200 to repay Sprint.

Verizon only reimburses the device balance owed, not service or other charges.

Details here. https://ss7.vzw.com/is/content/VerizonWireless/Landing%20Pages/Switch%20and%20Save/ETF-Buyout-Terms-...

I Hope Verizon makes this right for you, I just don't want you to expect $650 each line, unless you owed that much to Sprint.

Yes I know that it is "up to" $650.00. Verizon likes to correct me on that  verbiage when I call which is so dismissive of my concerns. I have gotten no where with Verizon on this. The Verizon office in temple contacted the switch office directly spoken to the switch office directly. Apparently, both parties agreed that the newest trade in receipt that i was provided by Temple Verizon Office was sufficient. So I resubmitted it to the switch email address  and what do you know.. still denied.

I am so sick of the Customer who is Always Wrong here! Verizon will not reimburse me for my four trade in lines "up to" $650.00 because Verizon didn't give me the proper documentation. I am so frustrated at this point and no one is hearing me!.

Verizon provided a link above to contact them.  Keep At them till you get the credit.

I Sure hope this is the last problem you have with Verizon

I'm having a similar problem and just keep getting the run-around from Verizon.  Apparently it's just a big scam.  Maybe we should file a class action lawsuit against Verizon.
