lcampbell1744,
Sorry to hear that your phone received liquid damage. I know that feeling to well because I have dropped mine twice in the same way. The good news, you are able to purchase a wireless charger for the phone here: http://vz.to/1SD2YDp .
I will be honest I am concerned about the liquid damage on the device. I do recommend that once you are able to power on the device a backup should be completed to ensure you don't lose any data. This can be done through Verizon Cloud: http://vz.to/1MYG2RQ . Do you have insurance on the device?

Mine fell in toilet as well. Sorry don't have an answer about charging, but how long did you leave yours in rice before it worked again? I've left mine in rice for about 24 hours and still no sign of life. Should I give up?

How long did you have it in a sealed bag with rice? You should leave it in there for a minimum of 3-5 days.

Once water gets into a phone, all kinds of bad things start happening. Many are delayed and just keep getting worse. There is no guarantee a wireless charger will work despite what the screen says. The phone doesn't know what kind of damage it has. H2O + Electronics = bad news
