No service

I switched to Verizon from at&t almost a year ago. I was told in the store that I had service at my home, I was assured I would have voice and messaging. I barely have messaging, I receive messages late, broken, and out of order. I have almost no voice capability. I complained to the store where I bought the phones and they ran diagnostics showing where I am constantly dropping calls. I was then told I could buy a service booster for $75 off...not my idea of a deal consider they are like $300. When I complained that I was lied to they told me that I could return the phones because it hadn't been two weeks yet. However, I had already sold my att phones and disconnected service. Then I was told that Verizon was putting up another tower in my area n 3-6 months, yet another lie. I feel if you are going to use your maps to sell your products in the store you should have something to back it up, or be honest about it. I feel like I have been lied to several times. I have had to get a house phone because I was missing important phone calls. I just want to know why Verizon feels it is OK to lie to their customers who pay hundreds a month to have service. What am I paying for when 75% of the time, I have no service?!?! Will it honestly hurt Verizon that bad to send me a service booster considering I was sold on your product under false pretenses? I just want what I pay for, that's it. Service. I want service. Right now I have one bar and it says 1x, that means it is [removal required by the Verizon Wireless Terms of Service] service, not "at least 3g, definitely voice and messaging" as I was told when I purchased the phones. Horrible customer service when it comes to a complaint, even with my entire situation backed up by proof, Verizon refused to give me what i pay for. I don't feel I should pay for the service that I was promised when I signed up. Verizon Wireless Admin

Anytime you you have to add more equipment to get service to justify leaving another provider who gave you service, you know something's wrong.

you can go back to at&t and at&t will cover your charges to change carrier if at&t has better reception for you then I don't see why not ....

davidnregina,

We understand service is important. Let’s look into this. We do our best to make sure we have coverage in all areas, but it is not a guarantee. This is why we allow the 14 day Worry Free Guarantee period. While the Network Extender would be the best option to give you service, we understand not want to pay for the additional accessory. If we can confirm there is no way to improve the service, we can allow you to cancel service. We prefer to keep you as a customer, but do not want you to pay for service you are not getting.

Sounds like a round-a-bout way of telling me to cancel my service. I am hoping for a tower to put up soon as I was told.
