Can I unlock my phone and use it in China?

I currently have an active account with Verizon Wireless, I am going to be traveling to China, what can I do to unlock my phone and use it in China?

Please be aware that we may change your wireless device's software, applications or programming remotely, without notice. By activating Service that uses a SIM (Subscriber Identity Module) card, you agree we own the intellectual property and software in the SIM card, that we may change the software or other data in the SIM card remotely and without notice, and we may utilize any capacity in the SIM card for administrative, network, business and/or commercial purposes. If you bought a wireless device for Postpay Service from Verizon Wireless that doesn't use a SIM card, and you want to reprogram it for use with another wireless network, the default programming code is set to "000000" or "123456." But please note that your wireless device may not work with another wireless network, or the other wireless carrier may not accept your wireless device on its network. If you activate a 3G phone–in–the–box wireless device for Prepaid Service, it can only be used for Prepaid Service during the first six (6) months after activation. If you activate a 4G LTE phone–in–the–box wireless device for Prepaid Service, it cannot be used with any other service until it is first activated on Prepaid Service and the first monthly payment is made

all 4g devices are unlocked but will work with your new carrier sim card  no one knows .

Your phone is unlocked for global use.  Just insert a SIM from a local carrier there.  You should be fine.

Verizon devices are unlocked out of the box. What that means is the device will work without restriction on any compatible network. We cannot guarantee any specific network other than Verizon is compatible though.  You would need to talk to that carrier.

qqbaby, we're excited about your upcoming trip to China. Our 4G devices are not locked and can be used internationally on another carrier's nework. Your device may be requires to program a code to use with another carrier. Typically, that code is 000000 or 123456.

Please be advised that various wireless carriers use different frequencies and air interface technologies to provide wireless network access. A device that works on one carrier's network may not be compatible with another carrier's network. As a result, you will need to contact the local carrier in China to verif if your current device is compatible with their network.
