Advanced Calling-YES
Wi-Fi Calling-NO- I would be very surprised if any non Verizon branded phone would support Wi-Fi calling.

You can always add a 3rd party app to your phone & make free Wi-Fi calls. I use Talkatone and it works great.

What a great question. shahsmerdis. At this point, those devices do not support WiFi calling. This may change in the future, so keep checking with us.

RosanneM_VZW - your response was very misleading. Both the Nexus 5x and the 6p support wifi calling. The problem is not with the phone hardware or software. That functionality works fine on Sprint, T-Mobile and Google Fi services.
The problem is that Verizon does not support those phones officially. Will they ever?
Thanks,
david

Hi, yep I understood the phones support it, but looks like verizon doesn't support it. Who knows when they actually will.

I doubt they will on an unbranded phone anytime in the near future. They still haven't even perfected it on the phones that DO support it now.
Funny how all the other carriers got it right, but Verizon's implentation is still lacking.

Basically, there is no reason this should not work on Verizon's network. All that is required is for Verizon to undergo a fundamental change to how they offer service. They only support phones that they can control and put their bloated software on, etc. It would be great if they would be more open but it is unlikely.
Your best bet is to hope that T-Mobile, Sprint and other networks continue to improve, thus making the decision to leave Verizon entirely an easy one to make.

Have you considered a 3rd party Wi-Fi calling app? You can forward your calls to the Wi-Fi phone number to receive calls when you are home.

We are always making advancements with our Advanced Calling features, shahsmerdis. While we try to provide this feature to as many devices as we can. The Google Nexus5x/6P are great devices, and can be activated on our network, but since the are non-Verizon devices we have no resources to troubleshoot them, or develop features for them like Advanced Calling.
