On my Galaxy S4, I was able to assign a notification sound to individual contacts. Is this something I can do on the Droid Turbo? I don't see an option for it on the edit contact screen but I might be missing something. If it's possible to do this, would someone please tell me how?

Yes, it's possible on the Turbo. Open the contact, tap the Edit button (the icon at the top that looks like a pencil), tap the three dots in the upper right-hand corner, then tap Set Ringtone.

The phone call ringtone can be set on the Turbo, like tikibar1 wrote. Unfortunately it isn't possible to set custom notification tones per contact for text messages on the Turbo.
I'm most definitely NOT a VZW employee. If a post answered your question, please mark it as the answer.

Oh, shoot! I missed the word 'text' in the subject line. Yep, you can assign ringtones per contact on the Turbo, but not text notifications. Sorry 'bout that.
