Inherited phone from wife, have gone thru and updated everything. Phone will not delete text messages. I highlight them and use the "trashcan". No luck. Tried clearing the cache and date...didn't work. Ant ideas?

I can relate to how important it is to delete old texts from your inherited device for many reasons. Let's get this figured out.
Which messaging app are you using? Did you do a full restore prior to moving into the phone? Are you able to delete any messages or is this specific messages you are unable to delete?
