OK, in this case you might have to delete each email individually since they not only synced to your phone but auto-downloaded as well. Stop the auto-download and just view the email on the phone without downloading it. From your webpage email you can tell the service to keep a copy on the server or to delete it when you delete the email from the phone.

Are you using the stock app or another app? If you use Gmail, Hotmail, Yahoo...I'd log into a computer browser and mass delete there rather than tapping each message and then delete.

I have deleted the email from my webmail program, but it is still shows
that I have over 300 on my phone. As soon as I get an email in my webmail
it auto downloads to my phone. I just want to make sure it is not taking
up storage on my phone.
