Like other companies Verizon doesn't announce OS updates until they start rolling out.

If you don't want to wait you can flash the factory image. Google re-homogenized the versions.

They are all homogenized now.  There is no specific rom for specific carriers.

There's tutorials that'll teach you how to set everything up which I can't link here.

Yes the previous versions were not homogenized now they are. There is no longer a different rom for the Nexus 6.

Google search XDA Developers.  Verizon will delete the link if I put it up.

There you can find a tutorial on how to flash the factory image into your phone.
