About 2 weeks ago Google Maps just quit working. When I open it all I get is a blue dot in the middle of the screen -- no map. When I search for an address, the little circle just keeps going round and round. I took it into the Verizon store twice and they tell me that it isn't an issue with the phone because Verizon Navigator works just fine. They uninstalled and re-installed but to no avail. They say it is an issue with the app which may be corrected when there is a new update to the app. Meanwhile, I really miss Google maps! Any suggestions?

barbdraper,
I rely heavily on my Google Maps so I feel your frustration. Let's look further into this and see what is going on. I would like you to give the application a good reboot. I just need you to:
-From main screen go to Apps
-Settings
-Applications
-Application Manager
-All (can drag finger from right to left along the top till shows All)
-Maps app (will be alphabetical)
-Force Stop
-Clear Data & Clear Cache
-Then go ahead & power your phone off & back on.
Let us know if you notice a difference.
