Phone Switching

So I'm in a phone, I'm not really too particularly fond of it now and have had it since mid-July. Of course there are several things I didn't find out about in the first 10 days they give you to return it (at least that's what I was told). But there are just many problems, the phone glitches, it disconnects me from my Wi-Fi so I'm forced to use my data at home, the internet browser on the phone is incompatible with several websites I need to operate on, and there's quite a few more on my list. So my question is, since I'm not actually eligible for an upgrade and I'm not sure I want to stay with this phone, will Verizon allow me to trade this for a different phone?

So, I have an LG G4 and am currently in the Verizon Edge program. The

websites I use that I have problems with usually have drop down menus to

select an item that this phone just doesn't let me do. It could also have

fields that it doesn't let me fill in, it is really delayed in it's

response to touch and could take several minutes to get the keyboard to pop

up or respond. Usually I try to restart the phone to see if it will allow

me to try again, but most of the time it doesn't work. And then when I'm at

home this phone will disconnect me from the Wi-Fi router and I end up using

my data. My husband doesn't have this problem and is currently in a Droid

Turbo. The phone also slows down while connected to the Wi-Fi, which my

husband also doesn't have a problem with. It can also be delayed in pulling

up text messages. I usually regularly delete texts to keep free space on

the phone since most devices work their best when they have much free

space. I'm probably expecting too much of this phone, but I've had way

better experiences with Samsung and iPhone. They also have a better

userface than this phone.

KFlo22,

This is disheartening to hear that you dislike your phone & that you are having issues with it. That's never something anyone wants. Let's roll up our sleeves on this to get everything resolved & answered. How long have you had the LG G4? Have you always had all of these issues from day one of having the phone? In regards to the wifi disconnecting, have you been able to delete the setting off the phone & re-add it? What texting app are you using? The original text app that came with the phone or Verizon Messages? We look forward to working with you.

I've had the phone since July 16th, 2015. I noticed a few things right away

like the lag in the phone, but a lot of it I noticed later, by like the 3rd

and 4th week. I have deleted the Wi-Fi and re-added it, but it acts the

same. I was using the app that came with the phone and then switched to the

Verizon Messages, they both act very similar. The other thing too, is that

I cannot receive multimedia messages when I'm on the phone, whereas I've

never had the problem with iPhone or Samsung. And the bluetooth acts up

where it doesn't want to connect or will connect and disconnect right away.

KFlo22,

Let's dig a little deeper. What exactly is happening when you try to connect to Wi-Fi? Have you tried connecting to other Wi-Fi networks or are your concerns only on one Wi-Fi network? Additionally, when you are having concerns with the messaging, is this only while you are on a call? Describe what happens when you try to open a message. Finally, with the lag concern on the phone, what patterns are you noticing? Is this happening at any particular time? For instance is this happening after you use a certain application?

So I don't really connect to other Wi-Fi networks mainly because they are

insecure and do not want to put my phone at risk for hackers or viruses. My

phone will connect to the Wi-Fi but I could start opening a web page when

my phone will tell me it disconnected from the Wi-Fi. At first I thought it

was my router or internet service but I'm the only one who is affected and

I've already had our internet service provider check all of our connections

to include resetting the router. And with the messaging it's only when it

comes to my data and multimedia messages which become completely

unavailable while on the phone, my husband hasn't had this problem and I

have never had this problem until this phone. The lag can happen at any

time, my phone could have the screen off and I could press the power button

and it sometimes takes a minute to respond. I haven't noticed that it

specifically happens after I use an application and I usually close out

ones I don't intend to use for awhile. They're not really patterns for when

it lags, just ocassionally. I'm not sure if it has a hard time keeping up,

but the keyboard and responding to whatever I tap on sometimes takes quite

a few taps for it to finally take what I've been pressing.
