I moved a number from AT&T 4 days ago. Roughly 2/3s of my texts and calls are ringing to my new Verizon phone (6s), but the other 1/3 are still going to my old AT&T phone. I'm having huge holes in my text threads and missing calls...
Turn OFF the AT&T phone, remove any SIM card - and have Verizon check the port to be sure it is complete. Once it is complete, you can turn the old phone back on. If it's making any kind of network attempt, it may be interfering with the port completion.
