When texting on my 5s sometimes a grey bar pops up in my outgoing text box and I can't see what I'm typing. In the bar there is something that looks like a digital clock, and it always shows 0.00. Nothing I do makes it go away except turning off and on the phone. Anyone else having this problem? It's been happening since I downloaded IOS9 but I don't know if they're related. What's happening?
Having a phone that works properly is essential. Help is here to figure out this mystery as to why this is happening. Has any other functions of the phone have issues? Is this happening on regular text messages or iMessage?

I saw it pop up once on my iPhone 6 Plus after updating to iOS 9. Closed the messaging app (doubly click the home button and swipe the message tab up to close it) and it was gone. Never popped up again...at least not so far.
