I bought the HTC One M9 2 days ago. Within this 2 days, the system has crashed 10 separate times. I don't have to be doing anything in particular for it to happen. This last time for example I only tapped on a new text message. The phone will freeze up for a few seconds and then the screen goes black because it's restarted itself. When it comes back on I'm asked if I want to send a report to HTC. When I preview the report, it says system crash and doesn't explain why, but I've sent it every time anyways. The first crash was within 30 minutes of activating the phone. I hadn't even put any apps onto it yet. I've also installed the most recent update onto it. Any idea why it's doing this? I'm to the point of just returning this phone tomorrow.

RPHoward,
That is definitely not the experience that we want to have with your new device and we're definitely here to help. Given the short time frame to return the device, we would recommend resetting the device to factory settings as soon as possible. If the issues persist even after the reset then it may be best to exchange the device while within the 14 day window. Doing a hard reset should not be something that needs to be done with a device so soon, but it would be worth a shot to see if the device will operate as it should.
