Text messages

This morning I saw 6 text messages with my name and no subject and no text.  I tried Discarding each one separately and they didn't go away.  Next I tried Selecting all 6 and sending them to Trash.  They didn't go away.  I do not understand how they appeared all marked with the same time.  Have I been hacked?  What would you do?

Who did these 6 text messages come from?

Are they text messages or e-mails? I'm confused because you said they didn't have a subject; I wasn't aware text messages usually have a subject.

They were in the list of Text Messages and my name, Anne [removed], was the

Sender.  Under my name was "(no subject)" where you would normally see a

line of the text message.  All were time stamped at the same time.  Weird,

huh?  Cannot discard nor delete any of them.

My phone is a GS Note 4.  Thanx!

This is certainly an odd situation you have here SellAHome. While I don't think your phone was hacked, we definitely want to look into this for you. What text app are you using on your phone? Have you been able to send or receive regular texts since this happened? When you press and hold on the messages, do you get the normal pop ups like 'forward' or 'save'?

Other text messages have been received and replied to since the multiple

list with my name as sender. When I open any of those, there is a screen

that I could type a message to someone else if I choose to do so.

I do not know what type text message program it is. I'd just says message

on the icon. I have service with Verizon and my phone is Samsung Galaxy

Note 4. I have been able to delete or discard 4 of the 6 so I will keep

trying to remove those 2.

Thanks so much for the update. I am glad to hear you were able to at least delete some of the messages. Please keep us posted if you are successful with deleting the other 2 or if this occurs again.

I finally deleted the two remaining texts. I opened them one at a time and

started to add text in the blank message, & then discarded it as if I

changed my mind about sending it. Then it disappeared.

Maybe my fingers unknowingly engaged a key that starts an outgoing text

message multiple times. Still trying to learn my way around on this

mobile.

Now I have a new problem. Since my last update, my battery life is very

bad compared to what it was before the update. It is also slower charging

up. Why is that? What can you do to fix it?
