I have a Samsung Note Edge with Android 5. I'd like to edit the speed dial entry 1, the Voicemail entry, to include a pause and my password. But there seems to be no way to do so, or to do anything in any other speed dial entry other than link it to a contact. Is this right, or is there a way to edit speed dials?

Dave-in-Decatur,
Thanks for reaching out to us on the forums. Sorry about any confusion with the last post. The #1 speed-dial is locked to Voicemail and you won't be able to modify it. Hope that helps to clear up the issue. Let us know if we can help out in the future. We're here to help.

You asked a great question. We understand how important it is to ensure you're able to customize your phone. You would have to link the number to a contact in order to edit the speed dial entry.

Thanks, EmmaM_VZW. And since speed dial #1, Voicemail, is not linked to a contact, there's no way to edit it.
BTW, the implication of this is that if you want to add any pauses, passwords, etc., to a speed dial (which lots of people do), you have to create a phone number entry with all of that stuff in the contact you want to set up on speed dial. You can't do it in the speed dial settings itself.
