I am sending emails for mahopacgolfclub.com from server [removed] The spf record for the domain did not include that ip. The record was changed 2 days ago and vtext.com is still rejecting. Here is one of the messages:
Your email message has been rejected by our mail server due to an SPF From failure. Your SPF records may not properly configured or updated. Please ensure your published SPF records include the IP Address of any sending servers for your domain. Additionally, your server host name may not match up with the domain from which your server is originating mail. Make sure the from address has a vaild SPF record that covers your servers. You can view the proper SPF record syntax here: http://www.openspf.org/SPF_Record_Syntax.
Please contact the system administrator responsible for your email systems and supply them with your original email and they should be able to determine the appropriate corrective action to allow your email messages to be delivered.
How can I get this resolved?
Thanks
Paul

PaulN1960, I want to make sure we get this addressed for you ASAP. How long have you been getting the error message? What kind of cell phone are you tyring to send these messages from? Are you able to send normal messages without any issues? Please keep us posted.

Kevin,
Thanks for the reply. The message is not being sent from a phone. We offer a service to country clubs that lets them send text messages to their members. We use the email address associated with the mobile phone. In Verizon’s case, it is @vtext.com.
The IP address I gave you is for our server that distributes the text messages. The club created an SPF record that precluded messages from being delivered. I’m not sure when the SPF was created, but messages started bouncing on 6/27/15. The spf record was corrected on 6/30/15, but messages are still being bounced by the vtext.com servers today.
It’s as though the vtext.com server has not picked up the new spf record.
Thanks
Paul

PaulN1960,
Thanks for that clarification. It sounds like we will need to get our business technical support team involved. If you are authorized on the account with us, please reach them at 800-922-0204. We will need to delve a bit deeper into the account to see what the hold up is. If you are not authorized on the VZW account, please have someone that is give us a call so we have full access to the account via verification.
