MMS with (No phone number):null

I noticed in my text messages that I have been receiving messages with the sender listed as "" and no phone number. The messages are blank but they show up in my backup sms log in Gmail as:

MMS with (No phone number):null

Also, when I try to forward the message from Gmail the message then appears below in thread of mail. NOTE: I changed my email address in pasted message below for purpose of posting this to the forums. In the message, my email is shown in the To: field

Thank you so much for providing this information! I definitely get being concerned to get these messages. Nothing jumps out as suspicious but we want to make sure. Do these only go to your email address or do they also show up as texts on your phone? How often do they come through to the phone?
