since new system update my apps don't work

I'm getting frustrated. Since my note 3 got this system updates I have numerous apps that will not work. I have Uninstaller them then tried to add them again with no luck. My clock app that came with the phone no longer works at all. And I have friends with the same issue. What's the deal??

Let's get your apps back working on that Note 3. When the software update started rolling out, a lot of the app developers did not make updates to the apps to work with the updates.

I would agree that making sure your device is backed up and doing a factory reset will help this out. I know that can be scary but I assure you there are many ways to make sure your device has everything saved. The main app I would use to back up is the Verizon Cloud: http://vz.to/1cQ9M2W

Once you have your device backed up you can perform the factory reset: http://vz.to/1cQ9M2W. When you get to the part of the reset that asks if you want automatic restore checked, uncheck that option. This will prevent all your apps from automatically downloading in the set up.

Once you get back to the setup, though, I would also hold off setting up your Gmail account until you are back fully into your device. When you are back in, go ahead & enter your Gmail in & slowly start to redownload your apps from the Play Store. Try to do a few at a time vs all at once. This should help with any app issues you were coming across.

Let us know if you notice a difference.

You may have to do a factory reset.  The update from Kit Kat to Lollipop is a huge one that completely changes the way android apps run.

But I don't want to lose all my personal info on my phone. Contacts, photos,  etc
