Why are both of our devices ringing after we upgraded?

My wife and I upgraded from 4s iPhones to iPhone 6. I activated both, but now when an incoming phone call comes in, it rings both phones. And I see that some of my personal info (DOB, name) is on my wife's phone. Cause? Solution?

Cause is you are using same AppleID

solution is use different AppleIDs.  You can use Apple Family Share to still have access to apps and purchases, so no need to share anymore.  You can also go to Settings /FaceTime and turn off iPhone cellular calls.
