Service has gotten worse. To the point I can't make calls from my cell at home anymore.  When I complained by email in 2010 to some lady I found on a news release she had someone call me from Albuquerque.  They told me that the closest tower to me was 15? miles away. We live 15 miles north of Santa Fe and 75-80 miles north of Albuquerque.  Their are 3 towers (Verizon?) within 5-6 miles of my house both north and south. The man I talked to said he had adjustments made to the tower he was talking about.  My service improved for maybe 2 months.  Since then we basically can't make calls from our house.  I have been with Verizon since 2000.  I'm seriously considering changing carriers if they can't bring my area up to par.  This is ridiculous! I don't have long distance from my land line because I have free long distance on my cell.  What good is that?  I can't make all my calls from work where I have service because I have to work!  Any suggestions?  Verizon?

Get yourself a Network Extender. Or for free, get yourself a Google Voice Number (free with a Gmail email address) and forward your calls to this while you are at home. You can use Google Hangouts Dialer to make and receive calls from a Google Voice Number using a wifi connection.

I wonder if you really read my post? We don't live in Albuquerque! My

zip is 87506. Signal is great everywhere except my house. It would be

different if we never had a signal at home, but, we did. Until Verizon started

their 4G bringing it to the populated areas. At the expense of making our

signals weaker.

I fully read your post. You are having difficulty making and receiving phone calls in your home. VZW doe not guarantee service inside of any structure. No matter how god it used to be. Once inside of a building, any building, there are too many factors to consider.

However, if you don't like my advice, which goes a step further than any VZW employee will tell you, then that is not my problem. You won't get past any VZW rep suggesting a network extender for your home. Your choice but you won't see a tower erected just because you complain and VZW will always tell you that they can't do anything about the reception inside your home.

The fact remains, regardless of whether Verizon guarantees service in a building or not, that service was better in a building before. It has gotten to the point where t-mobile of all services works best. It's a shame

Service working inside and then not working inside is not a valid argument for VZW to try to make it work inside again. They don't guarantee it and any building where you get service inside is a plus and nothing more.

I live north of Santa Fe.  Zip is 87506.  Pojoaque Valley.  Everyone has trouble here ever since all the 4G went up. There needs to be another cell tower.  There are cell towers about 2-3 miles to my south and 3-5 miles to the north but I guess they're not verizon
