Lollipop issues

Updated my G3 to lollipop when Verizon offered the OTA update about a week ago. I used to have a perfectly good device with KK, now it's terrible. I sincerely hope someone at Verizon sees the following issues as not just an inconvenience, but rather sabotage. Thats what lollipop feels like.

1. Significantly shorter battery life ( 5 hrs now vs 14 hrs before update)

2. Camera is very laggy and freezes

3. Taking video is awful, screen freezes then continues then freezes, then stops recording

4. Random restarts

5. OS is very slow ( swiping stutters, apps open slow)

6. Bluetooth cuts out (listening to Pandora was fine before, now there are short skips constantly)

As customers we should not have to research the internet to see if an OTA update is going to ruin our devices. If an update is made available by Verizon, we should know that it's going to work because Verizon is doing their do diligence. This needs to be corrected.

Oh no! I was hoping the issues I have been having would be corrected with this update! I am glad I didn't update when it popped up! It is bad enough right now. I would probably throw it out the window....

I'm experiencing these same issues. I did factory reset and it's not any better... So frustrated. Wish I could revert back..

It really is frustrating. How did you roll back to the KitKat after updating to Lollipop? Did it go smoothly? Any lingering effects?

We don't want to see anyone having trouble with the update. We work hard with Google and LG to make sure things go as smooth as possible, but there are so many 3rd party applications that may also add factors to each individual's phone that can't be foreseen. When you completed the reset, did you have the auto-restore option selected? How long after the reset did you begin to download all the same applications back? Can you please let us know a bit more about what you're specifically incurring?

I meant I was going to reset the Fitbit and I never got to it. It's working

better today. That's what I mean by variable. Works one minute and not the

next. In the morning yesterday I could not even text. I was trying to check

how someone did after surgery and it kept telling me network not available.

I am ready to get a new battery for my iPhone and be done with this phone.

Today it seems to be doing much better...

My biggest issue now is battery life.

Screen 18%

Google Services 17%

Android OS 12%

... and other apps less than 6% each.

I installed a battery saver app (DU Battery Saver) since my last post here and it has helped but I still am getting a third of the battery life I got before the update to Lollipop.

Sheesh....about the only thing I like about this phone is the battery

life.....of course it could be really good right now because it only works

about half the time!

The saga continues...Last night for about 5 minutes I had 4G in my living

room! Then it went back to 3G and finally to 1X where it pretty much

stayed. Right now I have no service at all and only one bar for my phone. I

was going to blame it on the cloud cover but a coworker with a Galaxy Note

has 3G and my boss has Extended 3G on her iPhone 6. I am shutting it off

for the 3rd time to see if it will restore. My coworker with the Galaxy

says she has 4G in Poplar all the time but 3G here in Wolf Point. At this

point I would really just like to have consistent 3G. I am definitely going

to Glasgow on Saturday, if not before. Part of me would really like to know

if it were the same on the east coast but I don't think I have the patience

to way for some sort of a resolution. I really wish I had had the battery

changed in my iphone and not done another contract. Lesson learned!
