WiFi is working fine on my laptop. No connectivity on my G4s. Tried to toggle the WiFi ON but it isn't highlighted as an option and the toggle won't stay in the ON position, Advanced Settings has Always on during Sleep.
Tried to do a hard shut down when holding down the power button, doesn't shut off.

I can't use WiFi on my phone. It will not allow me to turn WiFi on. I prefer to use WiFi especially at home, less DATA usage. Also, unable to completely power down, turn off phone.

Did the phone recently do a major update? Has it connected in the past?
IS your hotspot on?

No Hot spot. I always connect WiFi at home. Last update 10/19/2014 and says it's up to date.
Had no problem until late yesterday morning. Didn't discover the fact it won't shut off until today. I would have removed the battery on my older phone when this kinda thing happened.

Taking the battery out appears to have been the answer. WiFi is now an option again, power button seems to be working normally now.
When in doubt, take the battery out...
