I tried to sync my yahoo business email using the email/ others account set up with all of the pop/ smtp info found here: https://help.yahoo.com/kb/yahoo-business-mail/send-email-pop-mail-client-sln17514.html
That was a fail- it received but could not send.
then I downloaded the yahoo mail app. once again I could not send. then I tried to change my settings per post #11 above- my samsung s4 mini does not have a "push" option, but it does have "manual" so I took a wild guess and chose that. Well- it worked! hope this helps others.

adriennec, Look no further help is here! Being able to get your email on your phone is definitely important, especially for work. Remove the Yahoo email account and add it back using these steps http://www.verizonwireless.com/support/knowledge-base-83368/. Keep me posted if you need further assistance.
